The Mayor and Trustees of The Village of Stamford have decided to keep the Village Hall closed until the 1st of March. The Village Clerk, Treasurer and Mayor are available by appointment. Payments may be made on the Village website, www.stamfordny.com, left in the Village Hall drop box or sent via U.S.mail to 84 Main Street Stamford NY, 12167. The continued closure is a precautionary measure, the village wishes to do all it can to keep our employees and residents safe.
The Village of Stamford got new software for water and sewer billings. We are working through some growing pains/glitches. The bills are going out a little later than usual. Please keep in mind that the BOT is waiving late fees/water shut offs currently.
Due to the sudden rise in cases of Covid-19 in Delaware and Schoharie Counties the Village of Stamford will be closing the Village Hall effective December. 24th through January. 31st 2021. We will reevaluate the Covid situation on February 1st and reopen if it appears safe to do so. The Village Clerk and Treasurer will be working remotely from home as they had been doing earlier this year. Correspondence by hand may be left in the box to the right of the Village Hall front door. The Mayor will be in the office daily.
