Public Meeting
Local Flood Analysis – Town of Stamford
January 14th, 2020 @ 7PM
Stamford Town Hall, Hobart, NY
The Stamford Flood Commission invites you to attend a public meeting to kick-off a Local Flood Analysis (LFA) in the following Town of Stamford municipalities: the Village of Stamford, the Village of Hobart, and the Hamlet of South Kortright.
A Local Flood Analysis (LFA) is comprised of an engineering analysis that determines the causes and extents of flooding within a municipality and to explore, identify, and evaluate flood mitigation options. The completion of the LFA provides engineering design and construction funding opportunities to the municipality for the identified flood hazard mitigation projects.
Milone and MacBroom, Inc. (MMI), engineering consultants working with the Delaware County Soil and Water Conservation District, will be commencing the first step of the Stamford LFA with a presentation on January 14th, 2020 at the Stamford Town Hall in the Village of Hobart.
The public is invited to attend this meeting and is encouraged to share flooding anecdotes, the extent of historical flood damage and impacts, and historical flood photographs.
